I would like to make my own comic. I have my own style and idea, but I don't have good, polished story
I have family in Poland, so yes to that too!
Well, if story is the thing that's worrying you, there's a lot of information out there about creating stories from a single idea that translate really well for comics. Joseph Campbell's "hero's journey" is a really good place to start if you're thinking about making something with a solid storyline.
